To the editor: (re: “Tell Albany it’s time to support local journalism,” March 23) Your recent editorial made sense. Most communities are down to one local daily or weekly newspaper. Newspapers have to deal with increasing costs for newsprint, delivery and distribution, along with reduced advertising revenues and competition from the internet and other news information sources. more

To the editor: I am a strong supporter of Israel, and have been from the moment I assumed office about a decade ago. The personal views of Americans, including my own, on Israeli judicial reform should have no bearing on America’s core commitment to Israel’s security — which is and should always be non-negotiable. Period. more
