In a tragic chain of events early on Aug. 13, a 22-year-old man was thrown into oncoming traffic while checking damage to his car on the Major Deegan Expressway, ultimately resulting in him losing his life, police said.

Sarah Gund died unexpectedly but peacefully in a Boston hospital on the evening of Aug. 17, 2023 after suffering an aneurysm. She was surrounded by her husband, her children and grandchildren, step-children and their children, and some beloved friends. She was 81.

Milo Riverso is returning to Manhattan College to be the institution’s 21st president. Being part of the Manhattan Jaspers’ family runs strong in Riverso’s family, whose siblings studied at the Catholic liberal arts institution, as did his father. Soon, his son will be a soon Jasper as well.
