‘Shaolin Warriors’

Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, on the Lehman College campus at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West, will host a performance by the kung fu group Shaolin Warriors, at 4 p.m.

The Shaolin Warriors are disciples of the Shaolin kung fu school, and will offer a look into their daily lives and Zen philosophy as well as their athletic, acrobatic and deadly martial arts prowess.

Tickets range in price from $35 to $25 and are $10 for children 12 and under.

Book signing

Wave Hill, located at West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, will host a book signing by Bouquets with Personality author Lucinda Rooney, at 2 p.m.

The event will be held in the Perkins Visitor Center and is free with paid admission to the grounds.

Harvest festival

The Resident Council Hudson Pointe at Riverdale Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, located at 3220 Henry Hudson Parkway, will host a Gala “Harvest Festival” Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The bazaar will take place on the 5th floor at Hudson Pointe and will benefit the Resident Activity Fund, which is used for bus outings for nursing home residents to restaurants, museums and theaters.
