VAN CORTLANDT Park will host the special program “Mid-Fall Migrants,” on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. Participants will go out on a guided walk with the Urban Park Rangers and search for some of the last stragglers from the fall migration as they make their way through the park before the winter waterfowl arrive. Visitors should bring binoculars, dress appropriately for the weather and meet at the nature center, which is located inside the park at Broadway and West 246th Street. PELHAM BAY Park will hold a “Turkey Count Hike” on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. Visitors will join the Urban Park Rangers on a hike along the Siwanoy Trail, to search for this elusive bird as part of the park’s annual turkey count. Participants should meet in front of the Bartow-Pell Mansion, at 895 Shore Road. This program is open to the public, free of charge. For more information, call 718-885-3467.

THE GREENBURGH Nature Center presents the special family program “Hunters of the Sky,” on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. Participants will join museum curator Travis Brady for a discussion on hawks, falcons, eagles and owls, and then get a chance to meet the nature center’s resident raptors during a live demonstration. Admission costs $7 per person. The nature center is located at 99 Dromore Road, just off Central Park Avenue in Scarsdale, N.Y. For more information, call 914-723-3470.
