BERNIE’S NEW York presents “Islands of Gentility,” a public walking tour of Stuyvesant Square and Gramercy Park, on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. Highlights of this event include stops at the Quaker Meeting House, the house where actor John Garfield died, St. George’s Episcopal Church and Pete’s Tavern, as well as the former homes of painter George Bellows, 19th-century publisher James Harper, actor James Cagney and actress Margaret Hamilton. The tour costs $15 per person and reservations are not required. Participants should meet at the northwest corner of East 14th Street and Third Avenue. For more information, call 718-655-1883.
