THE SPUYTEN Duyvil Library, 650 W. 235th Street, will continue its “Movies at the Library” series with a screening of the classic musical comedy, Singin’ in the Rain, on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. This award-winning film, which stars Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds, follows a film production company and cast as they attempt to make the difficult transition from silent movies to “talkies.” Singin’ in the Rain has a running time of 103 minutes. THE FILM Club at the Riverdale- Yonkers Society for Ethical Culture will host a screening of the 1972 foreign film, The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe, at the meeting house, 4450 Fieldston Road, on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. This award-winning comedy follows the humorous series of events involving an ordinary orchestra player who is completely oblivious to the fact that he has become involved in an internal power struggle at a French secret service agency. The movie, which is in French with English subtitles, is rated PG and has a running time of 90 minutes. There is no charge to attend, but a donation of $3 to $5 toward the Film Club will be accepted at the door. For more information, call 718-548h-4445.

THE BRONX Museum of the Arts, 1040 Grand Concourse, at 165th Street, will continue its monthly First Fridays series with a special 30th anniversary screening of the film El Súper, on Friday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. This movie is about a Cuban exile struggling to survive as the superintendent of a New York City apartment building, along with his wife and 17-year-old daughter. The evening will also feature a question- and-answer session with the film’s writer, live music by DJ Asho and a performance of Cuban music by UNity with special guest Xiomara Laugart. THE BIG Apple Circus is celebrating its 32nd anniversary season with an all-new show titled “Bello is Back!,” at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park, located on 62nd Street near Amsterdam Avenue. Up to 10 performances are being held each, including matinees and evening shows, now through Monday, Jan. 18. With traditional circus acts and comedic routines, as well as a unique mix of music provided by the live circus band, New York City’s own circus takes place in the intimate setting of a single ring and features plenty of entertainment for all ages to enjoy. High-haired clown Bello Nock will lead this year’s festivities with a series of humorous skits and daredevil stunts. Joining him will be a talented group of performers, including expert acrobats and aerialists, tightrope walkers, trained horses and dogs, jugglers and of course, Grandma the Clown. Ticket prices range from $28 to $89 and should be purchased in advance at www.bigapplecircus.org or the Damrosch Park box office.

THE WESTCHESTER Broadway Theatre presents the special holiday season production, The Christmas Voyager, with performances now being held up to five days each week through Sunday, Dec. 27. Lost in a distant future and desperate to return to his home galaxy, Noel the Starman travels back through time in search of the magical December 24th evening when three brilliant stars came together and changed the course of history. Audience members will follow Noel as he journeys around the world and visits a small town in America, the North Pole, Dickens’ England and many other places during his quest. This family-friendly musical features dazzling special effects and many favorite Christmas songs, including “Silver Bells,” “Deck the Halls,” “Silent Night” and more. Ticket prices range from $70 to $80 per person and this fee includes both the show and a meal. The theater is located at 75 Clearbrook Road in Elmsford, N.Y.
