WAVE HILL, located at West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, will host its next Family Art Project on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5 and 6, from 1 to 4 p.m., in the Kerlin Learning Center. For this week’s activity, titled “Season’s Greetings,” kids will make their own live-action holiday cards. Participants will be able to share these personally created cards, complete with pop-up scenes of Wave Hill’s winter wonders, with friends and family. THE RIVERDALE Library, at 5540 Mosholu Ave., presents the following upcoming programs for kids:
- Baby Story Time, a special program for infants up to 18 months old, will be held on Fridays, Dec. 4 and 11, at 10:30 a.m. both days. Participants and their parents can enjoy great books, as well as lively songs and fun rhymes, while meeting other neighborhood babies.
- Also on Fridays, Dec. 4 and 11, at 3:30 p.m., the library will host Fun Fridays, a new weekly program for ages 8 to 12. Participants will have the chance to play a variety of board games, as well as enjoy other fun activities, with staff members and other children their age.
- The library presents Toddler Story Time, for ages 18 months to 3 years old, on Tuesdays, Dec. 8 and 15, at 10:30 a.m. During this program, participants will enjoy interactive stories, action songs and finger plays, while interacting with other toddlers in the neighborhood. THE KINGSBRIDGE Library, at 280 W. 231st St., will host the following upcoming events for kids:
- Oliver Twist, a live show presented by the Hampstead Stage Company, will take place on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 4:30 p.m. Based on the classic story by Charles Dickens, this coming of age tale about survival and friendship is about a young orphan named Oliver, who overcomes great hardships in Victorian-era London. This event is recommended for ages 5 and older.
- On Wednesdays, Dec. 9 and 16, the library will hold Reading Aloud, a special program for ages 5 to 12, at 4 p.m.

THE SPUYTEN Duyvil Library, at 650 W. 235th St., will hold the following children’s programs during the upcoming week:
- The library will hold Toddler Story Time, for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years old, on Thursdays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17, with sessions at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. During this program, participants can enjoy stories, songs and finger plays, while interacting with other toddlers. Registration is required and tickets will be distributed before each program.
- On Wednesdays, Dec. 9 and 16, at 4 p.m., the library will host Reading Aloud, for ages 5 and older.
- The library invites children between the ages of 5 and 12 to make their own holiday greeting cards, during a special art workshop that will be held on Monday, Dec. 14, at 4 p.m. Pre-registration is required.
- On Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m., the children’s librarian will present holiday-themed tales for ages 5 to 12, during a special “Storytelling @ the Library” program.

THE BRONX Library Center, located at 310 E. Kingsbridge Road, will hold the following activities for children this week:
- The center invites children between the ages of 5 and 12 to make their own “Rudolph Card,” during a special holiday-themed arts and crafts workshop that will take place today, Thursday, Dec. 3, at 4 p.m.
- On Fridays, Dec. 4 and 11, at 4 p.m., the center will host Game Day, for ages 5 to 12. Participants will have the chance to play a variety of board games, including Connect 4, Uno, Checkers and Monopoly Jr., with other children and library staff members.
- The center will host “Perfectly Penguin,” a special program presented by the Wildlife Theater from the Central Park Zoo, on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. The interactive show, which is recommended for ages 4 to 10, will focus on the world of penguins through stories, songs, games and puppetry.
