Classic film
The Riverdale YM-YWHA, located at 5625 Arlington Ave., will screen My Man Godfrey (1960) starring Carole Lombard at 7 p.m., the second film in their Rose Classic Film series.
Each film is followed by wine/coffee, snacks and a discussion with NYU film professor Jason Lucero.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students and seniors and $5 for Riverdale Y Simon Senior Center members.

Illustrated lecture
The Hebrew Home at Riverdale, located at 5901 Palisade Ave., will host a lecture by Jonathan Fein at 2:30 p.m. at the Biederman Library.
The illustrated talk, titled “Objects and Memory,” will feature topical video segments edited from interviews and scenes related to Mr. Fein’s 2008 documentary film of the same name. He will discuss how simple things become powerful conveyors of memory, identity and aspiration.
