Parents deserve parking tickets

To the editor:

As someone who regularly travels on Riverdale Avenue near PS 81, I say I'm glad all the doubleparking parents got tickets ("Dads take action to ease traffic snarls," Nov. 22, Second Front Page). They deserve them! They should be ticketed every day if that is what it takes to end their selfish behavior.

What right do they have to snarl up traffic day in and day out? Why are they driving their kids to a neighborhood school anyway?

It's nothing but downright selfishness. Their time and convenience is no more important than anyone else's.
