Fieldston Property Owners will close streets for a day
Fieldston will close its entrances to automobiles for 24 hours beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, the Fieldston Property Owners Association has announced.
Only cars with a Fieldston sticker or guests of Fieldston residents will be able to travel in Fieldston until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, and they will be limited to using the entrances at West 246th Street and Henry Hudson Parkway and West 246th Street and Post Road.
Members of the Fieldston security patrol will stop drivers and ask their destination in Fieldston if their cars don’t display the sticker. They will be diverted around Fieldston if they don’t give the name and address of a Fieldston resident they plan to visit.
The purpose of the daylong street closing is to assert FPOA’s ownership and control of the streets.
Emergency personnel will have unlimited access to the streets.
