July 18, 2013 - It is well known that Councilman G.Oliver Koppell favors Riverdale and Fieldston environ over other areas of Community Board 8. When we needed him to help us fight Urban Pathways in order to prevent apartment building overdevelopment in Van Cortlandt Village, he used the excuse of needy housing for substance abusers as the reason to build an enormous building with taxpayer-assisted funding on top of a hill top slope with no retaining wall. I wonder why not Fieldston or Riverdale. Oh, it's because he owns a house and lives in Fieldston.
