From the article: "Faculty discontent with PS 24’s administration apparently has led to low school environment scores for years."

If only there were a local newspaper to get to the bottom of this "apparently!"

Bobby Jones, real estate is precisely why the Press has shown such a stubborn lack of interest in digging deeper at PS 24. Follow the money in the form of ads from real estate firms every week. Those firms don't want prospective clients to see headlines about issues at PS 24 or the mess at RKA, it's terrible for business.

Digging deeper at PS 24 might have also cast a negative light on the Press's favored candidate for city council, whom they provided with discounted advertising in violation of campaign laws.

For the good of the neighborhood and its children, let's hope the Press acts like a real independent investigative paper and gets to the bottom of the problems. Talk to faculty and families, not just the administration and the PA.
