It is now Thursday night and I am still waiting for a parcel that was supposed to arrive on Saturday! I checked the tracking number of the parcel and it's states it's been at our local post office since Friday. I work and do not have the time during the week to go trek to the post office, wait on a line for two hours, to then find out the parcel is on a truck somewhere. Thank goodness the delivery is not something medical or time related.

Since our local 10463 post office is obviously incapable of handling the mail load, here's a simple solution we should demand from our politicians: Break up the 10463 zip code area into two. Kingsbridge can keep the 10463 zip code and Spuyten Duyvil & Central Riverdale share a new one (Bronx zip code 10479 is available). Then open a new South Riverdale 10479 post office branch at the Johnson/Riverdale Avenue commercial strip where it would be most convenient for most in that area to get to. This solution would also alleviate the lines in Kingsbridge and delivery problems in all neighborhoods.
