Recognize the Armenian Deception

Your editorial is ill-informed, misleading, and unfair.

While you mention a wall at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. quoting an infamous statement from Adolf Hitler, for instance, you failed to mention that that quote was proven to be a hoax, fabricated by an over-zealous reporter, Louis Lochner, the Associated Press Berlin Bureau chief at the time, and a devout supporter of the Armenian cause for decades prior. Thanks to the meticulous research by Dr. Arnold Reisman, a Jewish Holocaust survivor himself, carrying the concentration camp registration number on his arm until the day he died, we now know that Lochner was the one who slipped this abhorrent lie in 1945 into the court papers. And thanks to the vigilance of the US prosecutors at Nuremberg Tribunal , the questionable document, undated, unsigned, and sticking out like a sore thumb in the otherwise precisely numbered German documents, was never used in the court proceedings. Proper meeting minutes were found among the "captured documents", the originals, accounting for the alleged Hitler meeting. The originals had absolutely no mention of Armenians at all. Lochner had wanted to ride the sympathies for the Jews aroused by the unspeakable horrors perpetrated by the Nazis by ingeniously—and fraudulently—tying Hitler to the Armenian claims. I will give you the benefit of doubt that you did not know that the Hitler quote was exposed to be bogus and hope that you will refrain from using this fallacy again in the future.

Yet, for decades, the advocates for U.S. recognition of the Armenian Genocide have cited this despicable myth to cultivate credibility for their baseless genocide claims. It emboldened Armenian terrorists to kill more innocent Turkish diplomats right here on American soil. Who apologized to date for this grave mistake?

I also take issue with your constant reference to an alleged "Armenian Genocide". If you can show me a genocide verdict by a competent tribunal, as the 1948 UN Convention requires, then I will take all of this back. But you can not. You know why? Because it does not exist. The alleged Armenian genocide is a long-discredited political claim; not a court-proven historical fact like the Jewish Holocaust. AG only exists in the minds of Armenians, their supporters, and those who have only been exposed to the Armenian narrative during their upbringing.

The reality behind this issue is even more bleak: Armenians took up arms against their own government, terrorized the Anatolian countryside, and killed their Muslim neighbors and fellow Ottoman citizens. What's even worse, they handed over the city of Van that they had cleansed of Muslims to the Russian commander and then joined the invading enemy armies in search of Turks to kill. Turks only defended their home. The measure the Turks took to mitigate this serious wartime military threat was TERESET (Temporary Resettlement) of the Armenian insurgents and their supporters.

Armenian claims are not recognized by the US, the UK, and the UN. The claims are only recognized where Armenian colonies are able to exert political pressure. Armenian claims cannot be supported by either historical evidence or court verdicts.

In fact, The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) just passes a verdict (Dec 17, 2013 on Perincek vs Switzerland) where it clearly stated that "[t]he existence of a 'genocide', which was a precisely defined legal concept, was not easy to prove... Genocide was a very narrow legal concept that was difficult to substantiate". ECHR created a legal precedent of inadmissibility of any comparison between the Holocaust and the Armenian claims; the latter lacks what the former clearly has: concrete historical facts, clear legal basis, and existence of the "acts had been found by an international court to be clearly established". ECHR "...doubted that there could be a general consensus… given that historical research was, by definition, open to discussion and a matter of debate, without necessarily giving rise to final conclusions or to the assertion of objective and absolute truths".

Therefore, if one cherishes values like objectivity, truth, and honesty, then one should use the phrase “Turkish-Armenian conflict”. Asking someone “Do you accept or deny Armenian Genocide” shows anti-Turkish bias. The question, in all fairness, should be re-phrased:“What is your stand on the Turkish-Armenian conflict?” Turks believe it was a civil war within a world war, engineered, provoked, and waged by the Armenians with active support from Russia, England, and France, and passive support from the U.S. diplomats, missionaries, media, and others with anti-Turkish agendas, all eyeing the vast territories of the collapsing Ottoman Empire. Most Armenians claim that the wartime TERESET (temporary resettlement) of the Armenians was genocide, based on dubious evidence, hearsay, forgeries, and highly refutable arguments, totally ignoring the Armenian complicity in war crimes ranging from raids, rebellions, and terrorism to treason, causing many casualties in the Muslim, mostly Turkish, community, all of which which triggered the Tereset. Genocide is a legal term with a very specific definition requiring, not a political, but a LEGAL judgment, which the Armenians lack. There is massive evidence to the contrary, clearly pointing to a civil war fought by Muslim and Christian irregulars.

Armenians are not, as the famous saying in Turkish goes, "a white spoon that just came out of milk". The never were… If still in doubt, If in doubt, please take a look at this photo at www.ethocide.com to see uniformed Armenian cadets at the Armenian Military Academy established in 1906 in Bulgaria, arrogantly brandishing their Russian-made "Mosin" rifles. Those Armenians, joining Bulgarian and Greek irregulars, exterminated the entire population of the Turkish village of "KIRLIKOVA" village—hence my last name. Those Turkish victims, my folks, are not around to give "testimonies" as they are murdered by Armenians. Those Armenians cadets perfected their art of killing on my people. If Armenians built a thousand churches and deceived the world for a million years, these facts cannot be changed or forgotten, as only truth shall set us free, not deliberate misrepresentations in newspaper articles.

None of this is to be interpreted as an effort to minimize Armenian suffering which was real; but this suffering cannot be viewed as separate from the even deeper and wider Muslim (mostly Turkish) suffering in the same era and area, due to same wartime conditions. A significant number of those Turkish victims met their tragic end at the hands of Armenians terrorists, revolutionaries, and armed militia. It is just that Armenian claims are based on a dishonest and racist version of history. Racist because Turkish victims of Armenian atrocities are ignored--as if Turks are somehow sub-humans; and dishonest because Armenian revolts, terrorism, raids, assassinations, bombings, treason, territorial demands for an apartheid, and the Turkish dead resulting from such Armenian hate crimes during WWI are dismissed out of bias.

It was wartime tragedy where everyone suffered, not genocide where only Armenians did. Don't take my words for it; read the wise words from a Christian missionary, George M. Lamsa, who put it succinctly in his book The Secret of the Near East, (The Ideal Press, Philadelphia 1923, p 133: )

"…In some towns containing ten Armenian houses and thirty Turkish houses, it was reported that 40,000 people were killed, about 10,000 women were taken to the harem, and thousands of children left destitute; and the city university destroyed, and the bishop killed. It is a well- known fact that even in the last war the native Christians, despite the Turkish cautions, armed themselves and fought on the side of the Allies. In these conflicts, they were not idle, but they were well supplied with artillery, machine guns and inflicted heavy losses on their enemies…."

May the truth, love and understanding win over deception, hate, and prejudice, one day.
