A call for survey responses

Posted

Hello, my name is Anthony Capote; you may remember my name from some of the bylines here in The Press.

This week, instead of just reporting this weeks political and crime news, I wanted to ask you, the readers, for a favor. I am currently working on a Lasallian Summer Scholars grant from Manhattan College to study how people evaluate or otherwise feel about the various news media available to them.

In an age where there is virtually no limit on the amount of news media outlets that want to grab your attention, earn your trust, loyalty and, of course, your money, there is surprisingly little scientific research that studies how you—the readers—feel about those media.

I hope that you would take a few moments of your time today to help me as a researcher understand your sentiments by taking a short online survey.

The surveys are completely anonymous (I have elected to keep the survey from showing me any data such as the IP address or names of respondents) and are in no way connected to The Press. This survey is being independently conducted in capacity as a researcher, not a journalist.

If you are interested in participating my study please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H9GDZ8X.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and opinions on various news media outlets.

Thank you,

Anthony Capote
