1. Attackers arrested
249 W 231st St.
Bronx, NY
Five people who attacked and robbed a 25-year-old man on Sunday were apprehended by police the same day, according to authorities. The victim told police that he was walking in front of 249 W 231st. when the attackers — four men and one woman — began punching and kicking him before taking his iPhone 6. Police said that the Anti-Crime Unit caught the suspects shortly after the incident.
2. Teen robbed
3411 Ft. Indpendence Ave.
Bronx, NY
A 17-year-old boy told police that on April 19 at 6:08 p.m., he was attacked and robbed in the lobby of his 3411 Ft. Indpendence Ave. apartment building. An unknown male reportedly followed the victim into the building, pushed him against a wall and stole his iPhone 6S. The case remains open to investigators.
3. Larceny from auto
Kappock Street and Johnson Avenue
Bronx, NY
Authorities said between 12:30 and 11 a.m. on April 20, broke into the driver’s side window of a 54-year-old man’s car. The victim said he had parked his car on the corner of Kappock Street and Johnson Avenue, and when he returned, found his wallet conatinaing licenses, credit cards and Social Security Card missing. The case is still open to investigators.
4. Laptop stolen
5905 Broadway
Bronx, NY
Police said that an unknown perpetrator entered the Words of Life Christian Center at 5905 Broadway and stole an ASUS laptop around 2:30 p.m. on April 19. The victim, a 30-year-old woman, said that she did not notice the laptop was gone until 9 a.m. the next day. The suspect was caught on tape and the case is open to detectives.
