Arline Richner
dies at 79
Arline Richner, who lived on Johnson Avenue, died on Dec. 2 after a long battle with kidney disease. She was 79. She was born in the Bronx, the second daughter of Benjamin and Mollie Regenbogen. Ms. Richner moved to Riverdale in 1954 as a newlywed with her husband, Larry Richner. Together they raised two daughters. Ms. Richner was a retired medical secretary who enjoyed reading, theater and baking. Ms. Richner was the aunt of Clifford and Stuart Richner, the publishers of The Riverdale Press. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters and their families, including Bonnie Federman and her husband, Charles; Sharon Richner and her husband, Bruce Kaufman; and grandchildren, Danielle, Eric, Rebecca, Samantha and Shira. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
