Artist Amanda Ross-Ho To Give Talk As Part of Purchase College School of Art+Design Lecture Series
Artist Amanda Ross-Ho—whose installations include architectural elements, paintings, fabricated objects, textiles, and photographs to explore translation, scale, and the authored collapse of authentic gesture and performance—will give a talk Thursday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. as part of the Visiting Artist Lecture Series being conducted this fall by Purchase College, SUNY’s School of Art+Design. The lecture will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the college’s Visual Arts Building, Room 1016.
Ross-Ho's work interrogates intimate territories of experience, toggling between the context of production and the context of reception, to create an infinite loop of meaning. She received her MFA from the University of Southern California in 2006 and her BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1998.
