Bank robbery

1. Police said a five-foot-five female wearing blue shorts, a white baseball hat, sneakers and a green shirt entered Capital One Bank at 185 W. 231st St. on June 27 at approximately 4 p.m. and passed a note to the cashier demanding money.  

The 24-year-old female cashier handed the perpetrator $3,000 in cash, and the perpetrator left the building and fled the bank westbound on 231st Street. 

The robbery is under investigation. 

2. Claflin Ave. holdup 

After a 56-year-old man left a building at 2850 Claflin Avenue on June 24 at 1:25 a.m., a man approached him, pointed a handgun at him and told him not to move, according to police. 

A second man crossed the street and went through the victim’s pockets, removing $600 in cash, an ID card, a $50 leather wallet and a $5 silver key. 

The two perpetrators fled the scene. The robbery case is open to detectives. 

3. Watch thief 

Police said a 20-year-old woman left a friend’s home and returned to her car at the corner of Riverdale Ave. and West 236th Street on June 24 at 3 a.m. and discovered her vehicle was unlocked. 

When she searched her car, she found that a $6,500 Cartier watch had been removed from the car by an unknown perpetrator. 

The grand larceny case is under investigation. 

4. Saw stolen 

On June 27 at 8 a.m., construction company Network Infrastructure opposite 74 Terrace View discovered a demolition saw had been removed from inside a company truck, according to police. 

The saw, valued at $1,260, was last seen the day before at approximately 2:30 p.m. There was no forced entry to the vehicle. 

The burglary case is open to detectives. 

5. Claflin Ave. assault 

On June 29 at 10:55 p.m., a 40-year-old male was standing in front of 2809 Claflin Avenue when a 16-year-old male punched him in the head, resulting in an abrasion on his forehead. 

The minor was arrested and charged with assault.
