The Bronx Zoo will celebrate Easter by hosting an "Eggstreme Weekend," on Saturday and Sunday, March 22 and 23. This special two-day event will feature a wide range of holiday-themed programs and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

The scheduled festivities include children's storytelling, egg races, an egg scavenger hunt, and several animal feedings and demonstrations. Kids can make their own bunny mask or three-dimensional bunny craft during an art workshop and for a charge of $4, they can take a picture with Bella the Bunny and have it turned into a photo pin.

As an added bonus, the Children's Zoo, Butterfly Garden, Zoo Shuttle and Skyfari air tram will all re-open for the start of the spring season.

The zoo islocated at the Bronx River Parkway and Fordham Road, and will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The entrance fee is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors and $11 for children, ages 3 to 12. All special activities, except for the photo pins, are free with paid admission.
