1. At the Edible Arrangements at 3530 Johnson Ave., a 23-year-old woman reported a $700 plasma TV screen and $25 cash stolen, via the back entrance.

At the Aoyu Sushi at 3532 Johnson Ave., a 38-year-old male reported a $500 iPhone and $100 cash stolen, also via the establishment’s back entrance.

And at the Subway restaurant at 560 W. 235th St., a 35-year-old male reported a $1,500 security system and a safe worth $100 stolen. Inside the safe: $8,500 in cash.

The string of burglaries carried out between 4 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday in the same Riverdale neighborhood has police suspecting the work of a single light-fingered perpetrator.

The case remains open to detectives.

2. Broadway DWI

At 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, a 24-year-old man was driving his 2007 Gray Nissan SUV a little bit too casually, to the eyes of local police. He was observed driving southbound on Broadway in the center of two lanes, obstructing traffic.

When police pulled the man over, they noted a “strong odor of alcoholic beverage” on his breath. As the sun rose, officers took him from the intersection of Broadway and West 228th Street back to the pen.

The 24-year-old has one previous arrest for driving while intoxicated.

3. Year of the (stolen) Ram

Police said a 50-year-old man left his black 2004 Dodge Ram, valued at $8,000, at the corner of Riverdale and Greystone avenues at 8 p.m. on the eve of the Chinese New Year.

When he returned to the site at 10 p.m., the truck was nowhere to be found. When midnight rang in the Year of the Ram, and the vehicle was still nowhere to be found, the 50-year-old reported the vehicle stolen, along with an $800 Apple laptop, a $400 hard drive, a $200 Verizon tablet and a $300 Ridgid tool set.

The case remains open to detectives.

“There a couple tools that we have to find him,” police said of the Ram-robber.

4. Broadway bottle-thrower

Authorities said as the Broadway traffic grid heated up after business hours on Feb. 20, an unidentified man swerved in front of another 52-year-old man by the West 225th Street intersection.

The 52-year-old honked, causing the other man to turn around and heap verbal abuse upon the 52-year-old. But that was not all: in the midst of his road rage, the man threw a full plastic drink bottle at the victim’s face, causing “lacerations, bleeding and pain,” according to police.

The case remains open to detectives.

5. Taxi pillaged

Police said a 2011 Toyota Camry was parked at the corner of Bailey Avenue and West 238th Street between 1 and 1:30 p.m. on Monday. It was a green taxi cab, and the driver, a 48-year-old man, had parked it while he was on break.

Somewhere in that half an hour’s time, a thief gutted the cab for a $250 Samsung tablet and the $900 video camera and $500 radio communicator equipped by the dispatcher.

The case remains open to detectives.
