Police are looking for three men who allegedly pulled off a string of burglaries in Kingsbridge and Van Cortlandt Village last month.

The first four out of seven known incidents occurred on Aug. 18. They were at 3900 Bailey Ave., 92 Van Cortlandt Park West, 3815 Putnam Ave. and 130 Van Cortlandt Park West.

Video surveillance from one of the addresses showed the perpetrators breaking cylinder locks to enter and pilfer cash, jewelry and small electronic devices like iPads and iPods.

According to authorities, the crimes occurred during the daytime when the victims were not home. The suspects were described as men between the ages of 30 and 40, but there were no further details about their appearance.

“Most [victims] are coming home to their doors being tampered with or broken,” according to police.

The trio allegedly took an iPad worth $450 and a tablet worth $200 from an apartment at 130 Van Cortlandt Park West; and an iPod and jewelry from an apartment at 92 Van Cortlandt Park West. They also reportedly tried to burglarize 3900 Bailey Ave., but did not take anything.

Police said the men’s haul came to over $1,000 in goods.

After their Aug. 18 run, the thieves struck again on Aug. 27. They allegedly struck 3980 Hillman Ave. twice and targeted 3985 Gouverneur Ave. as well.

Police are still investigating the incidents.
