The second of two defendants in the fatal 2012 robbery of Riverdale resident Hwang Yang has been sentenced to 26 years in prison, according to the Bronx district attorney’s office.

It said Bronx Supreme Court Justice Ethan Greenberg today sentenced Alejandro Campos to 16 years in prison for his role in the crimes against Mr. Yang and another 10 years for a different robbery.

In March, Mr. Greenberg sentenced Dominick Davis to 35 years to life in prison for fatally shooting and robbing Mr. Yang at the corner of West 232nd Street and Cambridge Avenue as the victim walked home from work on April 19, 2012.

Trial testimony cited in a DA press release said after Mr. Davis shot Mr. Yang and took his iPhone, Mr. Campos drove a getaway car and sold the victim’s smartphone for $460 on eBay.

“A promising young man on his way home from work was shot in cold blood during a robbery, and this defendant drove the killer from the scene and then sold the victim’s iPhone for $460. Now he will spend many years in prison for his callousness,” Bronx DA Darcel Clark said in a statement.

Mr. Campos also was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the April 13, 2012 robbery of Jesse Kesse. The DA’s office said Mr. Campos stole Mr. Kesse’s debit card after the two were involved in an accident and met to discuss the matter. The DA’s office said a man named Richard Williams helped rob the victim and the perpetrators used the victim’s debit card “for a variety of purchases.”

The statement added that Mr. Campos received five years' parole.
