Clinton-Kasich for the White House

Posted

To the editor,

Let me explain.

At this time, the Democrats and Republicans are at loggerheads. Our government has been dysfunctional for some time. So, I believe the only real solution is a unity executive branch.

How does this play out at the polls?

Gov. John Kasich is the only Republican who handily beats Hillary Clinton, yet does not do well in Republican primaries. The reason is that Mr. Kasich gets independents and the right of the Democratic party in polling. While Ms. Clinton may lose some of extreme left, I believe the ticket would win by a landslide.

Furthermore, Mr. Kasich believes that the government should help people in need, but that government support should not be a life long profession. Though both parties to the tickets disagree on some issues, a dynamic tension in the Oval Office, with President Hillary Clinton having the final word, could be a very healthy dynamic breaking the stranglehold on our country.
