The Bronx Defenders will host its 2010 Community Block Party, on Wednesday, June 30, from 1 to 5 p.m., at 160th Street, between Courtlandt and Melrose avenues. This familyfriendly event will include free food, live music and entertainment, as well as plenty of activities for people of all ages.

Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, play interactive carnival games and compete in basketball tournaments. There will also be pony rides, a raffle, turntable DJ lessons, face painting, a moon bounce and more.

In addition, representatives from the Bronx Defenders will provide details on the services they offer, while other community advocacy groups and local organizations will be on-hand to provide medical advice, immigration help, housing information and more.Admission is free and open to the public.
