1. Grocery store robbed
131 w. Kingsbridge Rd.
Bronx, NY
The Prince Grocery Store at 131 W. Kingsbridge Rd., was robbed by a man of unknown age at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to police. They said the perpetrator, described as a roughly 5-foot-8 Hispanic male with brown eyes and short brown hair, entered the store and began arguing with one of the employees. The suspect then reached over the counter, grabbed the store worker and took money from the cash register. Police said the man took less that $250 from the register before feeling the scene. This case is still open to detectives.
2. Equipment stolen
141 Van Cortlandt Park South
Bronx, NY
An unknown person burglarized a construction site at 141 Van Cortlandt Park South between June 3 and June 7, according to police. A representative of the Dofe Corporation told authorities that he had locked the gate to the site with a chain and padlock, but when he returned on June 7, both had been taken along with a $20,000 air compressor. This case is still open to investigation.
3. Grand larceny auto
3333 Henry Hudson Parkway
Bronx, NY
Police said a 56-year-old man’s car was stolen from in front of 3333 Henry Hudson Parkway sometime between 7 a.m. on June 1 and 3:30 p.m. the following day. The victim told police that he left his car parked and when he returned, the 2003 Toyota Corolla was gone. This case is closed to detectives.
4. Bikes stolen
593 Fieldston Road
Bronx, NY
Burglars broke into a woman’s garage and stole two bicycles on June 2, according to authorities. The victim, 42, told police after leaving her garage door open at 5938 Fieldston Road, she returned to find an unknown perpetrator had entered and stolen two bikes valued at $220 each. This case is still open to detectives.
5. Vehicle vandalism
275 W. 238th St.
Bronx, NY
Police said a 46-year-old woman came to her car Tuesday Morning to find that an unknown vandal had smashed her windshield. The victim told police that she had parked her 2015 Ford Escape in front of 275 W. 238th St. on June 5 at 4 p.m. Police said that nothing was reported stolen and that this case is closed to detectives.
