Klein comes through for seniors

To the editor,

Kudos to state Sen. Jeff Klein for his sponsoring for the 10th consecutive year, Oct. 1 and 2, as Senior Citizen Appreciation Days. Several hundred people were treated by him to lunch and a Broadway revival of the classic show “Showboat.” I know it was a good time for all and much appreciated — I was there!

In addition, I want to thank Senator Klein because of his making the Riverdale Senior Boat Ride a reality. His intervention with the Circle Line made the boat trip affordable, which will result in hundreds of senior citizens being able to go on a boat ride on June 14, 2016.
