Local Girl Scouts from Troop 3463 think green

To the editor, 

My name is Madison Xu and I am 10 years old. I am a Girl Scout from Troop 3463, and I have read the article “Activists exult in state’s ban of fracking” (Dec. 25, 2014). I support the ban of hydraulic fracking and I am sincerely relieved that the dangers of fracking, both environmentally and to the human health, have subsided. 

Thanks to the northwest Bronx activists against fracking, we now have a safer, environmentally clean community, so much better than before. I appreciate both our leaders and our anti-fracking activists for working on this act and I truly support this ban on hydraulic fracking. Thank you, citizens of Bronx and our government, so much!

I am a 10 year old Girl Scout and I read, “Activists exult in state’s ban of fracking.” I think that banning fracking is a very good idea because it is good for the environment. It says in the article that fracking in New York is contaminating drinking water. This could make people sick or not feel well.
