Local Girl Scouts honored

Girl Scouts from local Troop 1477 Marieteresa Porcher Allen, Jewel and Jolee Caro and Laura McEntire at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday. They and fellow troop members Daniela Duffy and Mia Gergis were the only scouts in the city to receive the Marian Medal Award, a special badge for understanding of Catholicism.
