College softball

Manhattan College saw its season come to an end last Friday with a 4-1 loss to Siena in the elimination round of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament in Buffalo. 

The Jaspers opened the tournament with a 10-0 loss to Iona before rebounding with a 2-1 victory over top-seeded Canisius before falling to Siena.

Senior pitcher Amy Bright and sophomore shortstop Stephanie Reinhardt were named to the MAAC All-Tournament team while Elena Bowman was tabbed as the MAAC Player of the Year after hitting .462 with 16 homers and 41 RBI this season.
