The victim told officers the teens ran off with a chain she wore around her neck and two bracelets. The jewelry was collectively worth $140.

The victim was later admitted to a hospital, according to police, but has since been released.

The case remains open.

4. North R’dale burglary

A 43-year-old man discovered someone had ransacked his 210 W. 262nd St. home while he was running errands on June 12, according to police.

Police said he returned home in the evening and couldn’t open the front door. He asked the super to help him crawl through the fire escape window.

Once inside, he told police he found the door jammed and several items missing, including a Dell computer, a gold Cross pen, a Louis Vuitton bag, Gucci shoes, Kenneth Cole shoes and a shirt.

The case remains open.

Rise in alcohol sales to minors

Capt. Kevin Burke told Community Board 8 that a May 10 underage alcohol sale sting resulted in six out of 10 delis and bodegas selling to minors, twice as many as in previous undercover operations.

“It’s a source of concern for us, but we’re going to go forward continuing the operation and getting the message out to the community that they can’t sell to underage clients,” he said.

Items in Police Beat are based on reports of crimes and arrests. Those arrested are not guilty unless they are convicted by a court.
