1. Police said a 43-year-old man parked his car opposite 3131 Fairfield Ave. on July 1 at 7:02 a.m. and took his wife’s car to work. When he returned, he discovered his vehicle had been ransacked. $12,175 worth of property had been removed, including a $350 medical bag, a Physio LifePak AED device worth $10,000, $700 in medications, a $200 stethoscope, a $350 blood pressure kit, a $200 flashlight and a $375 IV tool. The grand larceny case is under investigation.

2. Runner robbed

A 26-year-old man was at the Van Cortlandt Park track at Van Cortlandt Avenue West and Bailey Avenue at 5:30 a.m. on July 1 when two unknown men approached him by the stadium. 

The victim told officers the two men held him down, punched him, kicked him and took a pair of $350 Adidas shoes, a $140 Adidas jacket and $350 in cash. 

The robbery case is open to detectives. 

3. Lotto scam

At around 10:20 a.m. on July 1, a 67-year-old man living at 3855 Orloff Ave. received a call from a self-proclaimed detective who told him he had won more than $4 million from the lottery.

The “detective” told the man to send him $2,300 via two checks by Western Union and MoneyGram in order to receive his winnings.

Police said the man lost his money. They are investigating the grand larceny case.

4. Bicycle thief

A 50-year-old man parked his black Raleigh bicycle, valued at $700, in front of 5975 Broadway on July 1 and went inside a store at the location.

When he returned, he discovered his bike, which he had not locked, had been removed. The petit larceny case is open to detectives.

5. Delafield larceny

On June 30, a 21-year-old woman parked her rental vehicle in front of 4673 Delafield Avenue. 

When she returned to the car at 12:01 a.m. the following day, she discovered several items missing from the car, including a $40 wallet, a bag of clothes worth $100 and $200 in cash, while an unknown person had used her credit cards at a different location in the Bronx. 

The grand larceny is under investigation.
