MetroCard bus makes local stops
MetroCard buses and vans will make several stops in Riverdale and Kingsbridge, selling regular and reduced-priced cards. The schedule is as follows:
Senior citizens and persons with disabilities may apply for the reduced-fare MetroCard at the MetroCard buses or may obtain an application from the vans. To apply for the card seniors must show photo identification proving they are at least 65 years old. To be processed immediately, persons with disabilities must have a valid U.S. Medicare Card along with valid photo identification issued by the state or federal government. Disabled persons without Medicare cards must ensure that their doctors complete the physician’s section of the application. After a review process, permanent reduced fare MetroCards are mailed to qualified applicants. For more information or to find other locations with scheduled MetroCard bus or van visits, call 212-METROCARD or go to the MTA’s Web site at www.mta.info.
