Learn recreational tree climbing and the fundamentals of on-rope climbing techniques from professional arborists at The New York Botanical Garden. Experienced instructors David Fedczuk and Chris Ekstrom instill confidence in rope handling, basic climbing, and descending (rappelling) methods. This course is for sportsmen, hunters, rock climbers, naturalists, or anyone wishing to climb trees for fun. Class is limited in size; students work in small teams. All necessary equipment is provided. Wear comfortable clothing (long pants, gloves, and boots or sturdy sneakers). Please bring lunch and a camera for a keepsake of this bird's-eye view of the Garden. Rain Date, Sunday, Nov. 17
