1. Robbery suspects nabbed

Two arrests were made in connection with a robbery on Aug. 20 at 2916 Heath Ave., according to police.

A 15-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man, who was carrying a loaded handgun, had robbed a 27-year-old victim. When the two suspects were apprehended, they were in possession of $140 and a Metro card they had stolen from the victim. The robbery case is closed.

2. Smart phone stolen

Authorities said a 22-year-old woman had her Samsung Galaxy stolen out of her hands while walking on the corner of Bailey Avenue and West 231st Street on Aug. 20 between 10 and 10:30 p.m.

The victim chased the perpetrator until he jumped in a taxi and got away. The phone was valued at $600.

The robbery case is open to detectives.

3. Deegan D.U.I.

Police say they arrested a 34-year-old, Hispanic male on Aug. 19 at 2:25 a.m. for drunk driving.

The suspect was observed making an unsafe lane change on the Major Deegan Expressway near West 230th Street.  Police said the man smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and suffered from slurred speech. He also refused sobriety tests, including a Breathalyzer exam.

4. Motorcycle stolen

A blue, 2015 Yamaha motorcycle was stolen between Sunday at 10:30 p.m. and 4:25 a.m. Monday morning, according to police.

The victim, a 29-year-old man, received a text alert from an alarm system that was implanted on the motorcycle alerting him of a possible theft. The victim observed from his window that his motorcycle was gone from its location on Van Cortlandt Park South and Gouverneur Avenue.

The case is closed to detectives.

5. Rims thieved

Police said they received reports of four stolen rims from a white, 2013 Honda Accord between 5 and 5:25 a.m. on Aug. 19 at 3880 Sedgwick Ave. The victim, a 27-year-old Hispanic male, valued the rims at $2,000.

The grand larceny case is closed to detectives.
