Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and his Brooklyn counterpart Eric Adams will hold a public hearing into the Gifted and Talented program on March 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bronx High School of Science.
The borough presidents and their Gifted and Talented Taskforce invite local parents to share their stories of challenges or successes they experienced during the admission process to gifted and talented programs for children.

“Students all over this city have for too long been denied the opportunities to which they are entitled when it comes to gifted education,” Diaz said in a statement.
Residents’ testimonies would help the taskforce to develop changes to gifted education, test prep and other resources for students, he added.

The taskforce comprises government officials, community members and parents, according to Diaz’s website.
