Lydia Wiener scored on an assist from Meleni Rahaman in the second half, but the Bronx Science girls soccer team lost to Beacon High (Manhattan) 2-1 in Sunday’s PSAL A Division championship game on Randall’s Island. Beacon’s Emily Mendez broke the 1-1 tie in the 74th minute after Wiener scored in the 51st minute.
