Seeking lessons from the Sheldon Silver case

To the editor:

Whether or not Sheldon Silver is found guilty as charged ,it is  already clear i that he is ethically challenged in a big way. 

It is also well to recall that he led the unfair campaign to smear Zephyr Teachout as an anti-Semite in her recent challenge to  Andrew Cuomo. 

Very few Cuomo supporters repeated that toxic canard, but some did so locally. 

The lesson? Always consider the credibility of the source of political mud slinging.
