Mia Espinosa scored in the final minutes to give the United (6-0-0) the win Sunday afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park Stadium. Onnie Woods made several impressive saves for the team’s fifth shutout of the season, and Anja Kottmann and Jonei Ettricks also had strong offensive games. The United, which has outscored its opponents 16-1 this season, plays host to the Chappaqua Blast (1-4-1) at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Asphalt Green Wave Sporting 5, Riverdale Riot U-14 1

Natalie Santo scored for the Riot (2-2-2) Sunday morning at Van Cortlandt Park Stadium, but the team fell to fourth place in Division 3. Midfielder Ella Hort and defender Averiana Worrell had strong games. The Green Wave is 6-0-0. The Riot plays the Edgemont Strikers (3-3-0) on Sunday at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday in Scarsdale.

Lanie Canning, Ella Gonzalez, and Anji Worrell scored for the Rubies (4-2-1), and Bianca Beriguete had a shutout in her goaltending debut.

Zoey Egan scored two goals and Thalia Sipp added the third for the Blue Monsters (5-2-0).
