Majors Division

Phantoms: 8

Mowers: 4

Richie Gonzales and Timo Charitos pitched a strong game for the Phantoms on Saturday, combining for 10 strikeouts. Mowers pitcher Sam Heskett struggled with control in the first, but he composed himself and pitched through the fifth inning, striking out 10. Heskett has 38 strikeouts in three games this season.

Solid relief from both Connor Mahoney and Sean O’Hara of the Mowers couldn’t stop the bats of Rafael Espinoza, Alex Leider, Charitos and Gonzales for the Phantoms in the sixth inning. The Mowers made a noble final attempt in the bottom of the inning, but Charitos shut them down, backed by the strong fielding of Calum MacPhee.
