1. Police are looking for a 25- to 30-year-old man who is implicated in a string of robberies within the 44th and 50th precincts, according to officers.

The first incident occurred on May 25, when the suspect confronted a woman in the stairwell of 1113 Grant Ave., police said. After displaying a box-cutter, the man allegedly stole the victim’s possessions.

The following day, on May 26, the man allegedly confronted another woman in the stairwell of 2800 University Ave., at 1 p.m. Similar to the previous attack, the suspect produced a box-cutter before stealing the woman’s property and fleeing the scene, according to police.

On the afternoon of June 2, the same suspect allegedly confronted a woman in an elevator inside a Jerome Avenue apartment, displayed a knife and seized her property, police said.

Finally, on the morning of June 9, the suspect confronted a female inside an elevator in a Sheridan Avenue building. Unlike previous attacks, the suspect did not produce a weapon, but still forcibly removed the victim’s possessions before fleeing, according to police.

The case remains open.

2. iPhone nabbed

A 15-year-old boy was approached by an unknown male near the southeast corner of West 235th Street and Henry Hudson Parkway on June 18, according to police.

The suspect shouted, “Give me your phone,” at which time the youth, fearful for his safety, turned over his iPhone, police said.

Police said he then fled south on the Henry Hudson Parkway.

The case remains open.

3. Bicycle thief

A 12-year-old boy was riding his bike on June 18 near the corner of Claflin Avenue and West 195th Street, when he was approached by an unknown male, according to police.

The man asked the boy if he could ride his bike, according to police. When the boy replied, “No,” he grabbed the handlebars, shook the boy from the bike, stole it and rode away, police said.

The boy returned home and reported the incident to a family member, who contacted police. The BMX bike is valued at $360.

The case remains open.
