Historical tour Sam Goldman and Art and Sue Zuckerman will lead a tour of the former workers’ cooperative known as the Allerton Coops as a follow-up to the May screening of At Home in Utopia by Michal Goldman and Ellen Brodsky. The program will begin at 11 a.m. with a discussion of the documentary, including comments not included in the film. The tour will begin at noon. Participants can have lunch at the Skyclub Cafe and may then swim at the Skyclub pool at 1 p.m. The tour costs $20; with transportation, lunch and swimming the fee is $50. Preregistration is required. Space is limited, but there will be another visit on Sunday, Aug. 9. Checks should be made payable to The Riverdale-Yonkers Society For Ethical Culture and sent to the society, at 4445 Fieldston Road. They are nonrefundable. For more information, call 718-548-4445. Seasonal yoga Yoga instructor Neem Dewji will lead a class on the grounds of Wave Hill, located at West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, at 9:30 a.m. Classes cost $10 for members and $18 for nonmembers. Participants should bring their own mat. The class meets every Tuesday and Sunday. For more information, call 718-549-3200. Summer music The Bronx Arts Ensemble presents “Romantic Summer Breezes,” part of it’s Summer- Music 2009 concert series, at 2 p.m. at Rockwood Drive Circle in Van Cortlandt Park (near Broadway and Mosholu Avenue). The concert will feature music by Dvorak and Brahms. Van Cortlandt Park will provide seating, but participants are urged to bring folding chairs if they can. The Bronx Arts Ensemble is a not-for-profit organization that began in 1972. It provides a year-round schedule of concerts, as well as a full music and arts-in-education program for schools. In the event of rain, the 2 p.m. concert will take place in the Vladeck Hall in the Amalgamated Houses at Hillman Avenue and Van Cortlandt Park South. There will be a repeat performance at 4 p.m. in the McGinley Center Ballroom at Fordham University, on the Bronx Rose Hill Campus at South Boulevard.
