Artists’ circle Wave Hill, located at West 249th Street at Independence Avenue, will host an open-air studio session on its garden grounds at 10 a.m. Wave Hill will provide easels and drawing boards, but not paper, canvas, or media. The program is open to artists at any skill level and will end with a facilitated critique at noon. The fee is $10 for members and $18 for nonmembers, and includes admission to the grounds. The group is limited to 12 participants each week; registration is available at the Perkins Visitor Center, where participants should meet the day of the session. The artists’ circle will take place every Thursday in June, July, and August, weather permitting. For more information, call 718-549-3200. Mint workshop There will be a cooking workshop on the many uses of the mint family at Wave Hill, West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, at 1 p.m. The event will be held on the garden’s grounds, and is free with admission.
