Unique program is star of RMHA annual meeting

Posted

The Riverdale Mental Health Association’s (RMHA) annual meeting will focus on its unique program which provides temporary housing to people undergoing a psychiatric crisis — without having to check in to an emergency room.

RMHA is in the second year of a two-year program, called Parachute, using federal funds to provide the Bronx’s only place where people undergoing a mental health crisis can stay for up to two weeks.

The public is invited to learn about the Parachute Program and the rest of RMHA’s work on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at their offices, located at 5676 Riverdale Ave. Several elected officials are expected to attend.

Please RSVP to RMHA’s Director of Development Emily Ross at 718-796-5300 or eross@rmha.org.
