On Sunday, Nov. 4, the Memorial Grove Restoration Group will host a Veteran’s Day ceremony at Van Cortlandt Park’s Memorial Grove, located near Broadway at West 246th Street, at 1 p.m.
The ceremony will honor Bronx veterans. Local politicians and clergy will be in attendance, as well as World War II veterans, honor guards from Bronx colleges and a bugler from Bugles Across America. The event will take place despite the recent Hurricane, according to Herb Barret.
Rev. Bill William Kalajian will give the benediction and Cantor Daniel Pincus will lead a chorus of the Troop 240 Boy Scouts and Troop 1147 Girl Scouts.
