Two men beat and robbed a 54-year-old man at Reservoir and Sedgwick avenues on July 24 at 12:54 a.m., according to authorities.

The victim was getting out of his vehicle when two males approached him. One perpetrator — who was described as black, 5-foot-3 and about 200 pounds — struck the man on the back of the head and in his face while the other — a black, 5-foot-10 male — entered the car and stole $100 in cash before the duo made off. Both suspects were about 17 years old.

The victim suffered painful lacerations, but records did not show him receiving medical treatment. The case is still open to detectives.

2. Sidewalk stabbing

Police said a fight outside Keenan’s Bar & Grill, located at 5588 Broadway, led to one man stabbing another on July 25 around 3:30 a.m.

The men had a physical altercation on the sidewalk. One of them walked away and came back with an unidentified object that he used to stab the 27-year-old victim in the back.

The victim was taken to the Allen Pavilion for treatment of a two-inch laceration. The suspect was described as a 5-foot-7 Latino male. There are no cameras outside of Keenan’s, but the assault case remains open to detectives.

3. Goods stolen

Police said unknown suspects burglarized the 5670 Riverdale Ave. home of a 21-year-old male on July 22 some time between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The perpetrators reportedly entered through a front kitchen window and took off with $2,120 in goods — two Xbox consoles, videos games and sneakers.

The case remains open to detectives.

4. Wallet stolen

Someone stole an elderly woman’s wallet at Key Food, located at 540 W. 235th St., on July 21 around 1:30 p.m., according to police.

The 83-year-old victim was in the checkout line when she noticed her wallet missing. It contained credit cards, a driver’s license and $250 in cash. A search of the premises was unfruitful.

The victim told police she remembered being jostled while shopping, but could not provide details of a possible suspect.

The grand larceny case is still open to detectives.

5. Car vandalized

Police said an unknown perpetrator destroyed a black 2014 sedan parked at 2710 Webb Ave. sometime between 5 a.m. and about 10:30 a.m. on July 23.

Someone smashed all of the vehicle’s windows, its taillights and front lights. There were also dents on the trunk and all four doors.

The criminal mischief case was closed, likely because nothing was stolen from the vehicle and the 39-year-old victim’s insurance company will take care of the damages.
