Women’s equality shouldn’t involve killing unborn kids

To the editor:

Governor Cuomo is still pushing the Women’s Equality Act. In June 2013 and June 2014, the bill was defeated in the state legislature, yet Mr. Cuomo has organized a new party to promote the bill.

The Women’s Equality Act consists of nine parts that would be helpful to women, They deal with domestic violence, pay equity and other things most people can agree on.

The tenth part of the bill is concerned with expanding abortion in New York State.  New York State already has the highest rate of abortion in our country. If passed, the bill would allow abortion up to and through the ninth month of pregnancy for any reason.  It would allow  “health care professionals,” not just doctors, to perform abortions.

And there is no mention of inspecting abortion clinics for cleanliness and proper handling of equipment.

Women’s Equality? Women do not have to kill their babies in order to be equal.
