Bags, shoes, games all burglar’s prize

It’s still not clear how they penetrated the front door, but once inside, at least one crook ransacked a woman’s apartment, making off with luxury goods, video games and a laptop.

A 29-year-old told cops an intruder somehow slipped into her Van Cortlandt Park-adjacent home on the 6200 block of Broadway between 10 a.m., and 8:40 p.m., Nov. 15. There, they snatched up 11 Gucci scarf bags, a couple Louis Vuitton shoes, a Macbook Air, a PlayStation 4 video game system, camera and games — all that police valued at $8,600.

Nothing suggested a break-in, cops said, adding cameras at the location could help them pin the perp.

Police are investigating the burglary.

Honda rims gone elsewhere

More rims and tires mysteriously whisked away to parts unknown, unseen, unheard — it’s really nothing new.

This time it happened on the 3900 block of Independence Avenue in Riverdale, not far from Delafield Estates. It was there a 35-year-old man told police he parked his vehicle around 7 a.m., Oct. 16, returning that evening to discover all four tires and rims taken, his ride propped up on milk crates.

A search of the area turned up no major leads, police said, nor did a nearby building appear to be equipped with any security cameras.

Police valued the missing Pirelli tires at $600, while black-marketing the Honda rims could net thieves as much as $2,000.

Cops are looking into the grand larceny.

Glass shattered, unguarded goods snatched

Thieves reportedly proved, again, broken car windows provide easy access to unprotected bounty.

A 27-year-old told cops he parked his red 2016 Ford Fusion at the intersection of Johnson and Irwin avenues not long after midnight Oct. 25, returning around lunchtime to find the front passenger-side window smashed in — although no damage to the steering wheel, steering column or ignition — and several of his belongings disappeared, police said.

That included a Sager laptop, a bookbag, an L.L. Bean jacket, and a textbook — all valued at around $2,094.

Police are investigating the grand larceny.
