Bronx braces for flash floods

Bronx County and other parts of the greater New York City area are under a flash flood warning.

The National Weather Service issued the warning for not only Bronx, but also Queens, Richmond, New York and Kings counties until 8 p.m. Monday.

Weather reports have thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the city. Additional thunderstorms producing heavy rain could move into the area once the current storms depart. 

That combination is enough to produce potential flooding. 

A warning typically indicates that a weather event is imminent or already occurring.
