To the editor:
Frequently, on my way to work, I pass the Kingsbridge Armory, and I see — absolutely nothing.
I have interviewed several residents of the neighborhood, and asked them what they think of the idea of an ice skating center nearby. They looked at me as if I emerged from another planet.
It is time we abandon this fantasy, admit that this emperor has no clothes, and use this vast space for something people need, like low-cost housing.
If this seems far-fetched, look no further than Crown Heights in Brooklyn, where a similar space is being converted to just this use.
